EXPERIENCED BAKER
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare all company baked goods for customers, clients, and wholesale
Produce high volumes of baked goods with recipe accuracy and consistency
Execute all food preparation while following safe food handling procedures
Receive deliveries and assist with correct ingredient storage and restocking
Clean, sanitize and maintain kitchen equipment and food production spaces
Complete all daily and production tasks assigned by Kitchen Manager in a timely manner
Maintain a fast pace while producing large scale bakes
Ensure that all daily opening and closing duties of the kitchen and work area are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained daily
Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years of kitchen experience / commercial baking experience/ or education in culinary studies
Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen
Self-motivated and work well independently or with a small team
Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
Cake decorating skills (an asset)
Interest in the health + wellness community and/or knowledge about Paleo/natural baking (a major plus, but not mandatory!)
Food Handlers certification is an asset
Position
Full-Time, 35-44 hrs per week *preferred
Part-Time, 24-34 hrs per week
Availability to work mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required
